Pricing
Transparent Pet Transport Pricing
Ferried uses a bidding model — drivers compete for your trip, so you get competitive pricing. There are no hidden fees. Here's exactly what you pay.
How Ferried's fee works
- Booking fee
- 15% of the transport price, capped at $180 — whichever is lower. The fee is shown as a line item when you accept a bid, so you see the full total before you confirm. The driver receives their full bid amount — the fee is Ferried's.
- Driver's price
- Set by the driver. Ferried does not set or inflate driver prices. Because multiple drivers bid on your request, you receive a range of quotes and choose the one that fits your budget.
- When you pay
- Payment is charged when you accept a driver's bid and confirm the booking. It is held by the platform and released to the driver only after you confirm your pet arrived safely.
- Pet protection
- $2,000 pet protection is included on every booking at no extra cost. This is not a separate insurance product you pay for — it is built into every transport on the platform.
- Hidden fees
- None. The price you see when accepting a bid is the total you pay. No processing fees, no fuel surcharges, no extras.

What affects the price
Distance
The primary driver. Longer trips cost more due to fuel, lodging, and driver time.
Pet size
Larger pets may require more space in the vehicle, which some drivers price accordingly.
Timing
Urgent bookings (within a few days) typically cost more than trips planned weeks out.
Route demand
Popular routes like LA to NY or FL to NY see more driver competition, which usually lowers prices.
Number of pets
Transporting multiple pets from the same household is often more cost-effective per pet.
Special requirements
Medications, anxiety needs, or very young/old pets may narrow the pool of bidding drivers.
